Field Service Technician - TIG Welder (AMP - Direct)

Watson is hiring a Field TIG Welder / Stainless Tank Technician to join our team of skilled professionals. You’ll travel across the country building and repairing stainless steel tanks in a wide range of industries. What You’ll Do
• Travel extensively to customer sites (at least 75% of the time).
• Perform field fabrication, repair, and installation of stainless tanks.
• Use your TIG welding expertise on critical, high-precision jobs.
• Interpret and work from complex blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Troubleshoot on-site issues with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with internal teams and communicate with customers to complete jobs efficiently.
• Complete service documentation and ensure quality standards are met.
• Stay on site until the job is done — whether it takes a few days or over a month.


What You Bring
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the Stainless Industry or technical field work.
• Proficient in TIG welding, especially with stainless steel.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Self-motivation and willingness to travel with short notice.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Must be 25+ years old with a valid driver’s license (for rental vehicle requirements).
• Prior experience with MIG welding, overhead cranes, forklifts, and PPE use is a plus.
