Description

The Medical Stop Loss Underwriter will be part of the FAIRCO Medical Stop Loss team. FAIRCO is a subsidiary of TransRe Holdings, a Berkshire Hathaway company. The Underwriter will be a key contributor to the growing stop loss team and will report directly to the COO of FAIRCO Medical Stop Loss. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Working directly with producers (Brokers and TPAs) to quote and negotiate specific and aggregate stop loss pricing and terms.
• Working within a team of underwriters to manage renewals, new business & RFPs and making decisions within assigned underwriting authority and guidelines.
• Evaluating large claim risk with input from medical underwriting.
• Maintaining a profitable book of business while achieving division growth goals.
