Position Overview:

Provide comprehensive health education and support to patients and employees; evaluating requests for materials from a variety of multimedia sources. May also participate in collaborative projects with physicians and staff, support departments, and philanthropy, or externally on community collaboratives and at community benefit events. Engages referred patients in motivational counseling sessions which are aimed at facilitating greater adherence to physician and/or registered nurse prescribed medical treatment as well as facilitating informed patient choices related to healthier lifestyles.

• Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
• Bachelor's

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years of recent relevant experience.
• Audiology experience preferred.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Mastery of basic computer skills
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal skills
• Self directed, able to set priorities and work independently
• Familiar with medical terminology

Pay Range is $46.32 to $60.21 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
