Job Summary:

The Director, ERP Operations, as a part of Enterprise Systems with dual responsibility for projects and operations, will be accountable for much of the global Finance Systems portfolio as well as the OneVision Oracle ERP activities in operations, support, process and systems enhancements and a defined set of new deployments. This person is responsible for directing multiple, global in-house and external partner teams in the areas of responsibility listed above. Responsible for working with the various IT component teams of the OneVision program (Readiness, Governance/compliance, Technical, etc.) to define and lead the implementation of standard IT processes and tools for the enterprise. 

 

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:

The incumbent will have the following responsivities:

  • Provide leadership to a team of internal and external operations support professionals, covering all functional areas in Oracle EBS 12 (Record to Report, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Inventory, Plan to Build, Supply Chain Management, Source), change control for solution design/enhancements, and regression testing and delta training for end users of the OneVision platform.
  • Realize Application Managed Services operational SLA’s and assure service levels as part of the global operations team.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all work, whether production support, live market enhancements or new deployments while meeting budget obligations and quality thresholds.
  • Take leadership roles to represent IT and support select business initiatives or programs for supported functions on a global basis.
  • Provides the environment to allow reporting managers to work with global functional leads on work assignments.
  • Directs the global project deployment and functional delivery management teams to ensure appropriate resource allocation for activities.
  • Defines and implements relevant IT strategy in the context of the business strategy while including functional teams and other IT leaders to ensure alignment. 
  • Engages with peer IT Leadership team to develop and implement long term plans for internal IT and related business teams to become self-sufficient in ERP skills and knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with BPMT leaders across the organization to influence how applications can enable business value.
  • Guide the definition and enhancement of methodologies and practices for the application life cycle management in line with best practice and practical experience of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure multiple projects in the portfolio and multiple phases of each project are scoped, defined, resourced, delivered and managed in support of targeted ERP outcomes.
  • Detailed planning and execution of ERP enhancements and deployments in partnership with our chosen ERP implementation partner (2-in-a-box).
  • Routinely monitor project portfolio performance and guides timely corrective actions to the plan to ensure inevitable risks and issues are being managed.
  • Guide teams through an active leadership role in the design process in refining our business process to take advantage of Oracle’s and non-Oracle Finance system capabilities.
  • Design, recommend, and evaluate proposed architecture and integration solutions in and out of the ERP.
  • Prepare, manage, and maintain accountability for cost estimates, budgets, and schedules for projects and project components such as resource plans.
  • Ensure achievement of results within the team, providing guidance, coaching and direction to staff on performance management and resource allocation. Drive team to a highly efficient and cohesive working unit.
  • Direct the preparation and communication of status to all concerned stakeholders in a regular and meaningful cadence.
  • Lead the management of applications projects using a structured systems methodology and IT general controls framework.
