Senior Finance Manager - Financial Data

<p>The Senior Finance Manager - Financial Data will play a crucial role developing and organising financial and related data used across the Commercial Finance function, building/maintaining a robust control environment, defining rules/principles, ensuring their consistent application and in doing so providing the foundation for high-quality analysis/reporting.</p><p></p><p>The objective of the role is to develop and own financial data/models used for the purpose of analysis, guidance and challenge that maximise value creation and operational leverage by actively influencing decisions, shaping the strategy and direction of the business. The Senior Finance Manager (Financial Data) will work collaboratively with the immediate Commercial Finance team, wider Finance, IT and other relevant stakeholders, understanding requirements and leveraging data sources to optimise the reporting framework and associated outputs.</p><p></p><p><b>KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: </b></p><ul><li><p>The role will need to build strong relationships within the Finance community and beyond to understand information requirements, data quality limitations and dependencies, requiring inputs from multiple sources.</p></li><li><p>Own all source data within Commercial Finance to ensure a single, accurate version of the truth. This includes maintaining mappings and attributions to support key analyses, such as revenue by product and detailed COGS reporting.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain an optimised master finance model.</p></li><li><p>Create and manage a comprehensive data dictionary to enhance transparency and understanding across the data and reporting environments.</p></li><li><p>Working with FP&amp;A and Finance Business Partners engage other teams (e.g., Strategy and Investor Relations) to understand their data and reporting needs, developing a roadmap to accommodate future enhancements.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with relevant functions to verify critical data sources (e.g. Workday) are accurate, complete and readily available.</p></li><li><p>Conduct a comprehensive audit of Power BI content to eliminate redundant dashboards, ensuring those remaining are clear, consistent and accurately represent key data.</p></li><li><p>Being the primary expert on financial data structures, act as the main point of contact for reporting requests, providing consultative guidance while developing new outputs, ensuring a robust control environment for all newly implemented reporting capabilities.</p></li><li><p>Partner with FP&amp;A to review and standardise local bookkeeping mappings, ensuring alignment and consistency across the organisation.</p></li><li><p>Ensure an optimised transfer of data from local accounting outputs to the FCCS consolidation tool and work with local accountants to pull transactional data in a uniform manner.</p></li><li><p>Play a key role in SAP implementation, applying learnings to optimise the new ERP.</p></li><li><p>Contribute to change management efforts, including coordinating activities like department creation, restructuring, and realignment.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>This list is not exhaustive and there may be other deliverables required as part of the role.</p><p></p><p><b>KEY QUALIFICATIONS: </b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field</p></li><li><p>Extensive experience in Power BI, particularly in data modelling, implementing security features and developing impactful visualisations.</p></li><li><p>Solid understanding of finance data structures/databases and their application in a fast growth and/or Technology environment, ideally as part of a global organisation.</p></li><li><p>Past experience building best-in-class, optimised data models and reporting outputs, with the ability to bring data together from different sources to drive insight.</p></li><li><p>A good understanding of accounting <span>processes/principles/cycles</span> and data/reporting usage in these contexts.</p></li><li><p>Good working knowledge of finance schedules such as P&amp;L and Balance Sheet.</p></li><li><p>Expert Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.</p></li><li><p>Strong ERP (preferably SAP S4 Hana) and FP&amp;A <span>consolidation/planning</span> tools experience.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:</b></p><ul><li><p>Extensive experience partnering with business leaders with the ability to challenge and influence senior management, driving a culture of accountability and ownership.</p></li><li><p>Strategic data-driven mindset with the ability to connect data from different systems/sources.</p></li><li><p>High degree of numeracy with excellent analytical, reconciliation and problem-solving skills.</p></li><li><p>Exceptional, adaptable written and verbal communication.</p></li><li><p>Able to work proactively, independently, efficiently and accurately in a time sensitive environment.</p></li><li><p>Forward thinker who challenges the
