Position Summary:
The successful applicants will facilitate weekly student conferences, attend lectures, and confer with students during regular office hours in space designated by the Institute. T. A.'s will also evaluate student work, including exams. Invigilation may also be required. T. A.'s will be expected to develop and present some course content. Tasks will also include meeting with course supervisor, reading required material for the class and preparation for and leading of conferences and class discussions.
Qualifications:
Preference will be given to graduate students in the PhD program at the Institute of Islamic Studies; -Applicants must be in good standing in their academic program; -Demonstrable knowledge of Islamic Civilization.
Language Requirements:
English; reading knowledge of at least one Islamic language is preferred.
