The Job:
As a Sr Procurement Manager you will be responsible for managing the purchasing team and supporting a Procurement Director and Operations Director in achieving the company’s procurement goals for the aerospace segment. You will play a critical role in ensuring that a regional group of plants have the necessary resources to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers. You will be responsible for managing spend, partnering with internal stakeholders, managing relationships with suppliers, mitigating risks, reducing lead times, ensuring on-time delivery of parts, improving supplier quality, implementing cost reduction ideas, and supporting supplier development. Acting as a business partner with our operations team, you will provide strategic insight and advice on procurement processes, supplier performance, and cost management.
- Manage a multi site purchasing team to ensure timely delivery of goods and services and compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional plant teams, including operations, engineering, and finance, to understand their needs and provide effective procurement solutions.
- Execute sourcing strategies at the plant level in collaboration with the Purchasing Director, leveraging market knowledge and supplier relationships to achieve optimal results.
- Support day-to-day relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, while maintaining positive and productive relationships.
- Identify and implement cost reduction ideas to improve company profitability and maintain a competitive advantage.
- Manage inventory levels for purchased components, ensuring that levels are optimized to reduce risk and working capital.
- Drive process improvements to reduce supplier lead times and ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Reduce supplier lead times by developing effective communication channels and process improvements

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or Supply Chain Management preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic sourcing and purchasing operations, preferably in a global, multi-site manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Aeronautic/Aerospace industry. Most be familiar with specifications, test and validation required in this market
- Experience in multicultural negotiations, contracting, and supplier management activities required.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and cost management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience operating successfully in an agile, highly matrixed environment.
- International travel experience preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

The base pay range for this position in California is 100-139k. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of
