Student Bookstore Cashier

Overview The Auburn University Bookstore is excited to search for Cashiers to help our retail processes run smoothly! Cashiers help the sales and service department by assisting customers, facilitating transactions, stocking merchandise, and other duties indicated below. Responsibilities Process transactions at the cash register. Greet customers and assist them with finding the products and services they desire. Have an enthusiastic attitude toward helping others. Walk the sales floor regularly to monitor for loss prevention and ensure the sales floor and merchandise are clean and in order. Ensure merchandise is tagged correctly, scans at the right price, and is free of damage. Stock merchandise on the sales floor as needed. Assist in ordering, distributing, and collecting caps and gowns for graduation each semester. Answer questions students have regarding textbooks and scholarships. Qualifications Enrolled student at Auburn University Available to work Gamedays as needed Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Able to stand for 4 hours at a time Effective communication skills Great interpersonal skills Organizational skills Ability to work individually as well as cooperatively with others Why Work at Auburn?
