Hybrid schedule; remote and at Washington Street, Westborough office.
Job Summary:
The University of Massachusetts President's Office Information Technology and Services located in Westborough, MA is offering up a 12-20 hour a week Client Support Internship at $17.00 an hour. Those selected for this internship will gain valuable knowledge of the inner workings of the University of Massachusetts.
Essential Functions:
Provide end user support through Slack, Zoom and onsite. Assist staff in Westborough to help with installs and customer support. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience):
- Current UMass student who is enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program of study.
- GPA 3.0 or higher.
- Be curious, creative, eager to learn, motivated, and willing to take initiative on assigned projects/tasks.
- Be outgoing, friendly and approachable with a passion to contribute and support others.
- Reliable and detailed-oriented with a strong ability to multi-task, stay organized, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be well organized, detailed oriented, and possess good follow-up skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when interacting with staff.
- Must have experience in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience):
- A desire to learn
- A willingness to work hard
- Hardware/software skills a plus
