About the role

Clean Harbors located in La Porte, TX is seeking a Autoclave Technician. The Autoclave Technician will be responsible for processing medical waste in the medical processing side of the facility. This includes using an autoclave. 

Shift: Mon-Fri; 6am-3pm; OT and Saturdays as needed.

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Operate an autoclave to process medical waste;
  • Load and unload route trucks;
  • Prepare waste loads for shipment to Recycle Center/Distribution Center;
  • Manage inventory order and receiving process;
  • General housekeeping and keeping a clean work area;
  • Ensure waste is stored in safe and proper manner.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required;
  • Possible vaccines and medical testing is required;
  • Experience and familiarity with Excel, Word, etc;
  • 1 plus years of related labor and computer experience preferred;
  • Ability to drive trucks within facility;
  • Forklift skills preferred.
