You’ll work closely with the Center’s directors, corporate sponsors, and university partners to help deliver impactful events and innovative sales programming.
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Currently enrolled in the Sales Certificate Program at RMU
Completed at least 30 credit hours of undergraduate coursework
Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 What you will gain: Resume-worthy experience with real-world sales, marketing, and tech platforms Direct exposure to industry leaders and professional career paths Personalized coaching and mentorship from Center directors A chance to make an impact at one of RMU’s dynamic academic centers Responsibilities: You will play a role in supporting the daily operations and strategic initiatives of the Center. These responsibilities reflect the fast-paced, cross-functional nature of real-world environments in sales, marketing, and customer success. From managing CRM data and designing marketing content to coordinating events and leading communications, this role gives you hands-on experience with the tools, teamwork, and project ownership expected in professional settings. You'll also collaborate across disciplines and develop the kind of organizational and communication skills that make a difference in any modern business role.
Core tasks include: Assist with event coordination (venue setup, catering, sponsor communication) Design flyers, social graphics, and signage using Canva Maintain and update HubSpot CRM with sponsor and event data Post content and updates to the Center’s Instagram and LinkedIn pages Track milestones and proactively remind directors of upcoming tasks or deadlines Make outbound phone calls for various business-related needs (e.g., confirming event attendance, following up with sponsors, conducting outreach) Create project plans for new initiatives with clear deliverables and follow-through Collaborate with business and engineering students during competitions and events Contribute to marketing campaigns, reports, and student recruitment efforts In addition to your core responsibilities, you will: Participate from time to time in cross-functional initiatives led by the Collaborative Learning Institute, under the direction of Dr. Jill Kurp Be required to attend all Sales Center events as part of your employment (special exceptions may be discussed with your supervisor in advance) Minimum Qualifications: Who we are looking for?
