Head of Finance (f/m/d)

<h3>This is what you’ll be doing</h3> <p>We’re looking for an exceptional <strong>Head of Finance (f/m/d)</strong> to propel us into the next phase of growth. This critical role involves strengthening our current Finance Operations and building our financial strategy with the group’s CEO. We are seeking someone who is passionate about finance, strategy, continuous optimization, hands-on problem solving and making impactful decisions. </p><p>In your role as the Head of Finance you will be leading the Finance team and will be responsible for the group’s financial activities (Controlling, Accounting, Tax and Corporate Law). Furthermore, your function includes the following key responsibilities:</p><p><strong>Strategy &amp; Leadership</strong></p><ul><li>Provide strategic financial leadership to the organization, ensuring the alignment of financial goals with overall business objectives.</li><li>Oversee the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls.</li><li>Closely collaborate with the CEO to prepare the group for its next growth phase and enhance the group’s ability to make data-driven strategic decisions.</li></ul><p><strong>Financial Planning and Reporting</strong></p><ul><li>Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes.</li><li>Conduct financial analysis and provide actionable recommendations to optimize financial performance.</li><li>Align, monitor, and report on key financial metrics to management and stakeholders.</li><li>Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Manage cash flow to ensure the organization’s financial stability.</li></ul><p><strong>Management and Coordination</strong></p><ul><li>Lead, build and mentor the Finance team, fostering a culture or collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Steer and coordinate external service providers (Accounting, Tax, Corporate Law, Audit…).</li></ul><p><strong>Operational Excellence</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and rollout a plan to strengthen and streamline the group’s finance operations in line with its growth objectives.</li><li>Collaborate with other department to drive and support cross-functional initiatives and be a key driver of the overall organizational success.</li></ul> <h3>You’ll fit great with these skills and values</h3> <p>Besides your strong analytical and problem-solving skills, you have a passion for metrics and a well-founded understanding of financial statements. This is coupled with the ability to get into the details whilst not losing sight of the big picture. In addition to these characteristics, you bring the following with you: </p><ul><li>An outstanding track record in a related field in academia and/or hands-on experience, MBA or CPA preferred but not mandatory,</li><li>Several years of experience in financial management with track record of successfully leading a team,</li><li>Strong knowledge of German and, ideally, Austrian, financial regulations, and reporting standards,</li><li>Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis,</li><li>Advanced proficiency in financial management software and Excel, and</li><li>Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written.</li></ul> <h3>What we offer</h3> <p>You get to be an integral part of an internationally successful company with flat hierarchies and actively participate in decision-making processes.
