This role will require the successful applicant to work with the Clinical Director - Women’s and Children’s and assist with providing a high level of strategic leadership and direction, ensuring resources are efficiently utilised, services are effectively integrated within the hospital/service and the highest standards of service delivery are achieved in accordance with hospital/service policy directions, service standards and financial targets. In addition, the Clinical Lead will provide specialist paediatric medical care to patients attending the North West Regional Hospital (NWRH), Burnie and Mersey Community Hospital (MCH), Latrobe, in addition to outreach clinics across the broader North West region. The Paediatrics department provides a consultative service supported by inpatient and outpatient services, as well as outreach services located at regional centres which include the West Coast District Hospital, Smithton District Hospital and King Island District Hospital and Devonport Community Health. The NWRH provides a neonatal service and busy inpatient service. The MCH provides an ever increasing general, behavioural and community paediatrics service. The current senior staffing mix includes full time and part time Specialists with excellent Registrar and JMO support, in addition the NWRH is accredited with the RACP for Registrar training.  The DoH offers a comprehensive undergraduate and graduate clinical training program, with close ties to the University of Tasmania through the Rural Clinical School.  As such, you will be responsible for providing leadership and help with the delivery of the Undergraduate general medical education program.   Salary: Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1- Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3 $216,300 - $310,389 per annum, pro rata + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging  Please note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $300,216 -$310,389 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award   • Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022   In addition, the following allowances and benefit, calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: • Salary packaging options include a range of benefits like living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 in meals and entertainment every year • Provision of a fully maintained private plated motor vehicle or motor vehicle allowance of $28,389 per annum, pro rata • Participation in Private Practice Scheme 35% or allowance in lieu of private practice schemes 35% • North West only – North West Retention Allowance 20%  • Management Allowance  • Continuing Professional Development Allowance of $16,974 per annum, pro rata • Generous relocation assistance and accommodation available • A range of leave entitlements, including study leave and Professional Development Support. • Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.   What Can We Offer?   • Contemporary, well equipped work environments • Flexible work/life balance • Attractive Salary Package • Dynamic team environment • Commitment to ongoing professional development   Eligibility:   Eligibility: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:   Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty. *Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked a
