Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Rover in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced food and beverage retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, support store teams and guests with customer-focused service, and collaborate with Allied Universal teammates. This role reflects our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, grounded in a caring culture, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site employees, vendors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of the grocery retail location, parking areas, loading and receiving zones, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including conflicts, medical events, alarms, and suspicious activity, and request law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
• Help to deter theft, trespassing, and other unwanted activity by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring entrances and high-risk areas, and completing security-related checks of doors, gates, and delivery activity.
• Carry and handle assigned firearms and security-related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, local laws, and post orders, including secure storage, required qualifications, and incident reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be 21+ years of age.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
