Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential to effectively interact with employees at all levels and to positively influence organizational and/or regional outcomes. As part of a quickly growing company, the Senior HR Business Partner also acts as a partner in successful employee acquisition and integration and works closely with the HR team which includes the Recruiting team to support and execute the HR hiring, development and retention strategies. 

Job Summary

This role will report to the Chief Human Resources Officer leading our people and culture priorities for a region within the Ardurra firm-wide organization. The Senior HR Business Partner collaborates with the HR team and executes initiatives and deliverables that nurture our talent and our business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a professional services or engineering, architectural and construction organization. The right candidate will be energized by the talented individuals who make up our entrepreneurial workforce.

Primary Duties 

  • Communication: Work closely with employees and represent an approachable advocacy for employees and thoughtful trusted partnership with leaders and managers.
  • Coordination: Coordinate effectively with the CHRO and Director, Talent and HR Operations and with Regional leadership to develop and implement strategies that support both long-term and short-term organizational goals.
  • HR Collaboration: Work closely with HR team members and employees to ensure quality talent attraction, retention, and development in coordination and partnership with leadership and HR Recruiting team. This includes carrying out or supporting front line HR functions such as talent acquisition support, onboarding, employee performance management, benefits and leave support, learning, career development as well as ensuring accurate employee data transactions.
  • Consultation and Mentorship: Build effective partnerships and relationships with business leaders and employees to translate business requirements into effective HR solutions that solve problems and that may become initiatives and programs.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze regional performance metrics, including employee retention and experience data, to identify areas for improvement and drive enhancements.
  • Issue Resolution: Collaborate with HR and other department managers to address and resolve employee relations issues.
  • Employee Integrations: Participates in and at times leads acquisition support and new business integration activities in collaboration with other HR team members

Education and Experience Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience as an HR employee, with significant experience in senior HR roles such as HR Manager or Generalist
  • Experience in applying exceptional mentorship, coaching, project management, and time management skills.
  • Experience with sensitive and confidential information while maintaining strictest confidentiality
  • Experience in complex and technical work environments
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal and facilitation communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Business acumen with entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Certified HR professional with a robust HR skillset and/or experiences in a high-growth environment.
  • Experience in the AEC industry operating as a business partner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong relationship building and change management capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as interdependently with others to deliver exceptional results.
  • Demonstrated professional maturity in dealing with variety of employee relations situations
  • Ability to participate in or lead acquisition support activities
  • Experience integrating employees into existing or new operating structures successfully.
  • Experience facilitating new hire orientation and other trainings as nee
