Job Summary
The Director of IT Operations, reporting to the Chief Information & Digital Officer will lead our IT service delivery, operations performance and excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives across all IT services. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of IT services, optimizing operational processes, and driving efficiencies to support business objectives. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong background with operations expertise, service delivery, and process improvement methodologies. The role will have experience in leading IT operations through process optimization, automation, and the implementation of best practices, while maintaining strong business partnerships and ensuring IT services deliver measurable business value. The role will partner will be a key partner with the Orange and San Diego Associate Chief Information Officer and with will be part of the CIO's Senior Management team which is accountable for driving excellence in IT operations across the system. The Director IT Operations will be a key business and clinical operations partner with executive leadership in supporting the business goals and objectives for the organization.Pay Range
Minimum $170,789 Midpoint $226,283 Maximum $281,778Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
• Required: Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in broad technology services, risk management, information security or related field, with experience as a proven technology leader. Ten (10) years of IT operations experience. At least five (5) years in a leadership role.
• Preferred: Significant cumulative experience within a large healthcare system, with proven change management experience.
Education
• Required: Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, or related field.
Master’s degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, or related field.
Training
• Required: None required.
Specialized Skills
- Required: Business principles and techniques of administration, organization, and management to include an in-depth understanding of the key business issues that exist in the health care industry.
- Knowledge of strategic and operational planning, healthcare economics, personnel administration, federal, state and local laws, marketing and financial and cost analysis; data processing methods and procedures, and computer software systems; business office operations as it pertains to IT systems; systems design and development process, including requirements analysis, feasibility studies, software design, programming, pilot testing, installation, evaluation and operational management; business process analysis and redesign; design, management, and operation of managed IT systems.
