Position Overview:
The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Office of Inspector General, Bureau of Medicaid Integrity is seeking to hire a highly capable and experienced professional to serve as Audit Supervisor to oversee provider audits. In this capacity, the Audit Supervisor will provide technical guidance and logistical support to the auditors and manage the audits to completion. The Audit Supervisor will be responsible for the quality and accuracy of the audit output through oversight starting with validations that the payment of claims complies with the regulations, feedback to the auditor for any auditing errors, communication to the auditee of discrepancies, and provide support in all audit conferences. This candidate will also be responsible for reviewing data to determine trends and make recommendations for future audits.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong foundation in Medicaid policy, medical coding principals, and problem-solving skills to address audits of high complexity. Ideal skills include the ability to exercise sound judgment in the identification of priorities, to work collaboratively with internal and external partners, proactively address issues, and to ensure timely completion of all work. The candidate will exhibit strong leadership skills to achieve set goals while demonstrating independent initiative. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to be successful in this role.
