Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences 

 

The newly established Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences will be an interdisciplinary powerhouse of innovation and collaboration to lead integrated solutions to the needs of the communities we serve locally and globally. UQ offers one of the widest ranges of health and behavioural sciences programs of any Australian university, and the ambition for this new Faculty will be to will be to leverage its unified suite of esteemed schools, institutes and centres to unlock opportunities within UQ and with external partners. 

 

About This Opportunity  

 

The Senior Coordinator, Executive Support will provide high-level administrative and executive support to the Executive Dean, with flexibility to assist other Faculty Executives during peak periods or absences. This role requires adaptability, including flexibility in the location of work to meet the needs of the executives being supported.  

 

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Manage the electronic diary, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel, and handling day-to-day office business. 

  • Coordinate projects, events, committees, and meetings, including scheduling, drafting documents, and liaising with stakeholders. 

  • Conduct research and data analysis for senior staff, draft correspondence, and handle confidential materials. 

  • Ensure compliance with university policies, manage financial administration, and oversee system delegations for executive staff. 

  • Maintain knowledge of organisational plans, key staff, and projects, while responding to enquiries from staff, students, and external stakeholders. 

 

This is a full-time, continuing position at HEW Level 6. 

 

About You  

  • Expertise or broad knowledge in administration, business, or executive support. 

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse backgrounds. 

  • High sensitivity in handling confidential matters. 

  • Excellent stakeholder management, including escalation and follow-up. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment. 

  • Broad knowledge of University of Queensland’s administrative procedures and structure.
