About the TikTok User Growth team
TikTok's User Growth team is a cross-functional team (engineering, data science, recommendation/algorithm, product, marketing, operations) that apply a data-driven approach to growth. We work closely to improve the whole TikTok user growth funnel: branding, acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention, across a variety of products.

As a member of TikTok's Frontend team, you will:
- Work closely with product manager and designer to deliver state of the art user experience in the above products mentioned;
- Build world-class frontend, which combine usability, accessibility, elegance, performance, and maintainability;
- Adopt automated and manual test strategies to ensure product quality;
- Learn and understand how TikTok product works and help build end-to-end solutions;
- Learn and grow from working with great colleagues and taking on challenges;
- Help our team grow from your expertise, experience, and perspectives.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
• Deep understanding of (and passion for) Web Platform: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, User Interface and User Experience guidelines and best practices
• UI/UX instincts and knowledge
• Experience in building metrics-driven experiments and using data to inform product decisions

Preferred Qualifications:
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent majors
• 3 years of working experience in a software development environment.
• Deep domain expertise in SEO and related product and engineering practices
• Experience in Growth Engineering or Growth Hacking; have successful user growth track record
• Experience in designing and developing large-scale systems using Go, Node.js, Python, or Java with high QPS and availability, and low latency
• Experience in utilizing Natural Language Processing and Understanding (NLP, NLU)
• Experience in designing and implementing content recommendation systems
• Experience in building data pipelines or using modern big data processing frameworks and patterns

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $145000 - $250000 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
