The Insurance Data Reconciliation Analyst will work a hybrid schedule from our Avon, CT office.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Insurance Data Reconciliation Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reconciling data from various insurance systems, ensuring data accuracy, identifying discrepancies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of insurance processes, and the ability to work with large data sets.
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile insurance data between various systems (e.g., policy, claims, and billing systems) and our data warehouse to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Identify and investigate data discrepancies, working closely with the relevant teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data reconciliation processes and resolutions.
- Generate regular reports on reconciliation status and provide insights to stakeholders regarding data quality.
- Assist with data migration and system integration projects by ensuring proper data alignment and validation.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to implement process improvements and enhance data accuracy.
- Monitor and track key performance metrics related to data reconciliation processes.
- Assist in ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests as needed.
Requirements:
- 4+ yrs of Data Analysis experience preferably in insurance
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in insurance data reconciliation or data analysis, ideally within the insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, processes, and terminology.
- Proficient in data management tools, Excel, and experience with insurance-related software/systems, and proficient in SQL or similar databases.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with large, complex datasets.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with reconciliation software or automated data tools.
The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. Discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded.
