CAD Drafter - Civil / Residential - Remote

Our top new client has a remote drafter opening to work on a W2 long term contract to hire. This job is based out of Tampa and the manager would like someone who is local to meet initially as the project gets kicked off.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing plans for neighborhoods and subdivsions. This includes "land development site layouts, grading and stormwater design, utility design, roadway plan and profiles, general civil infrastructure plans, erosion and sediment control design and general civil engineering design drafting."

 

Responsibilities

• Design and drafting of grading plans, utility plans, roadway plan and profiles, cross sections, and general civil land development construction plans

Qualifications

• Qualified candidates must have a working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D (2018 or newer) and the ability to learn and understand State and Local municipal development codes
• Design and CAD drafting experience on residential, commercial and/or municipal projects
• Experience with land development site layouts, grading and stormwater design, utility design, roadway plan and profiles, general civil infrastructure plans, erosion and sediment control design and general civil engineering design drafting
• Candidate must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Candidate needs the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite with ability to at least operate word processing and spreadsheet programs
• Working knowledge of land development including roads, water and sewer infrastructure design and planning
• Ability to prepare drawings of variable complexity from simple sketches to elaborate 3D plan sets
• Ability to extract information from existing ArcGIS projects, particularly preliminary boundary, topographic, and drainage related information

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $25.00/hr to $28.00/hr.  Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.  In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
