Laboratory Analyst - Bay City, TX
LOCATION: Bay City - Texas - USA
DEPARTMENT: QUALITY
Main Responsibilities:
- Generates lab activity reporting e.g: performance indicators.
- Ensures the availability of updated applicable documents, e.g procedures, work instructions and specifications.
- Analyzes and proposes actions for the resolution of detected problems.
- Identifies opportunities of improvement of laboratory processes and proposes preventive actions.
- Verifies the application and development of safety standards.
- Performs technical queries (TQ) and any internal feasibility analysis request (e.g. from product Engineering, from manufacturing dept), including product downgrade or re-allocation.
- Supports from the metallurgical point of view in the qualification of new or modified: Thermo-mechanical processes, Steel and/or steel suppliers and/or products"
- Participates in Failure Analysis for internal problems or external claims.
- Gathers and analyzes data and prepares reports related to performance of thermo-mechanical processes, (e.g., heat treatment reprocessing; capability studies, border line analysis).
- Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility. To participate in HSE objectives setting, define and implement programs and actions applicable to the area of responsibility for continual improvement of HSE performance.
- Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area
Requirements:
- BS Engineering: Materials Science or Metallurgy Background
- Up to 3 years of professional experience after graduation
- Results-driven, team-oriented, analytical, problem-solving skills, strong communication skills
