Position Requirements
- High school education required; college degree or paralegal certificate preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience working on litigation matters for an in house legal department.
- Experience with guardianships and conservatorships are a plus.
- Knowledge of and experience in discovery and eDiscovery processes.
- Able to quickly learn firm operations and processes.
- Able to work independently in a high-volume environment.
- Comfortable making decisions based on department guidance and legal experience with minimal attorney review.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to draft and interpret legal documents and interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented self‑starter with sound judgment, strong analytical abilities, and capacity to assess risk, prioritize work, and adapt to changing demands.
- Proficient with or able to quickly learn new technology, including legal case management systems, eDiscovery platforms, Westlaw, Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
**Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026. Before June 1, 2026, candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.**
