Job Description

This role is hybrid remote with 40% monthly in-office presence in Mount Prospect, Illinois. (2-3 days in office per week)

The International Trade Specialist is a key contributor to the company’s Compliance and supply chain management processes.  The position requires a strong background in Import brokerage with the emphasis on classification, Import and Export compliance, documentation, and operations as well as knowledge of the supply chain process. 

The responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Audit classification database, conduct import audits on broker filings and supervise broker activity.
  • Support the Power Tools North America (PTNA) USMCA and other FTA programs including complying with accurate data for certificates. 
  • Assist plant/facility personnel in all areas of import and export compliance, including training of Bosch personnel relating to government compliance requirements. 
  • Assist the Transportation Lead in any area of International Trade deemed necessary to assure smooth trade flow for PTNA.
  • Conduct pre and post audit of broker filings as it relates to the PTNA business units including, FTZ, reconciling ACH duty payments, proper assistance of duty reporting and application as well as following the approved CBP’s ISA program procedures for PTNA.
  • Proactively identify trade risk to PTNA business managers to support sourcing decision and minimize cost risk associated with implementation of new tariffs or trade agreements.
  • Maintain the PTNA Entry Logs, assure accuracy of ACH duty payments assist the controlling group and answer/advise other departments in PTNA when asked to do so. 
  • Administer and assist in the PTNA USMCA program and other FTA’s for the various business units of PTNA
  • Assist and support the Transportation Lead and department with all related Government rules and regulations as it relates to International Trade and the overall Supply chain activities.  Help in the training and education of all PTNA associates as directed by the Transportation Lead.
  • Support definition of HTS, Schedule B, and ECCN classification for export shipments with our export specialist.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required, degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Analytics preferred
  • Outstanding organizational, prioritization and time management skills
  • Intermediate to advanced level data proficiency (Excel, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across functions and levels.
  • The ability to handle multiple projects effectively without compromising quality of work
  • Capacity to work individually and team environments.
  • Customer service mindset to approach and collaborate with external customers
  • Comfortable in a dynamic working environment
  • Ability to analyze large data sets, identify trends and develop root cause summaries for a cross-functional audience
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
  • Capable of time management and self-direction
  • Strong organization, communication, collaboration, analytical skills, and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of SAP ERP and Global Trade Systems
  • Customs Brokerage License preferred
