Analyst - Revenue Cycle Automation and Analytics, Healthcare Financial Operations

Key job responsibilities
Support the growth of the Healthcare Financial Operations revenue cycle automation and analytics functions.

Design, develop, and maintain innovative and scalable automation solutions across the organization.

Partner with our business leaders and the Global AR Data and Analytics team to design and implement business metrics and dashboards, with the highest standards of analytical rigor and data integrity.

Translate ambiguous business problem statements into actionable solutions.

Perform detailed analytical reviews across disparate data sets to identify opportunities to improve billing accuracy, accelerate cash collections and/or reduce bad debt.

Leverage historical data to create forecasting models that will allow the business to better utilize its limited resources to maximize financial performance.

Develop and implement scalable and reliable analytics and tools that drive financial outcomes.

Contribute to the definition and prioritization of solutions that will be utilized by the Tech/Product teams to improve our operational efficiencies.

Support our Program/Product Managers and their cross-functional project teams on the day-to-day execution of analytics, projects and initiatives.

Analyze workflow and operational procedures to identify opportunities for improved efficiency

Design and implement metrics dashboards to deepen understanding of AR performance, payment and denial trends highlighting opportunities for improvement

About the team
The Finance Operations organization works with every part of Amazon to provide operations accounting and operations excellence services with the highest level of controllership at the lowest cost to the company. We provide the backbone systems and operational processes which completely, accurately, and validly pay Amazon’s suppliers, invoice our customers and report financial results. Amazon is quickly building the Finance Operations capabilities in the healthcare industry by creating the Healthcare Finance Operations Services.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
• 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
• 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
• Experience working with stakeholders
• Healthcare industry experience, with a strong preference for revenue cycle experience
