Responsibilities:

  • Compliance and risk management: ensure compliance with the company’s credit and collections policy and monitor / manage the company’s credit riskAnalyse credit data, financial statements, and other relevant information to determine creditworthiness of customers. Maintain knowledge and understanding of legal aspects of credit management, cash collections, cash flow management and US bankruptcy laws. 

  • Liquidity management: ensure timely and efficient collection of outstanding debts and work closely with sales, customer service and operations to resolve credit and collection issues 

  • Reporting: prepare and present reports on credit and collections activities to senior management 

  • Business Partner: acts as a business partner for the local / regional management teams, sales, customer service and operations and is responsible for providing all decision takers with solid financial analysis. 

  • Continuous improvements: develop and implement strategies to improve the credit and collections process and drive process improvements and automation within credit & collections area supporting Lean initiatives and implementing innovative solutions to enhance financial operations, reporting and efficiency. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. 
  • 4+ years of experience in credit and collections management, accounting, finance, or a related field with relevant exposure  
  • English language (fluently in speaking and writing) 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and changes, good knowledge of local finance policies, taxation rules and other local obligations
  • Good analytical and customer service orientation skills
  • Good understanding of accounting or finance IT systems
