Purpose of the Role:

• Commercial Finance Manager, DBC partners with Diageo Beer Company commercial team and functions to drive business performance through the provision of financial / commercial expertise and insights and to own the delivery of financial targets within an effective control environment.

 Top Accountabilities

• Deliver robust business performance management process to ensure delivery of all relevant financial metrics.
• Deliver a robust governance and control environment and an effective risk management agenda.
• Provide support in formulating business strategy and converting strategies into operating plans with recommended prioritization.
• Identify all critical business opportunities, risks and initiatives and provide standard process financial analysis and insights to support decision making.
• Find opportunities to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness of finance activities.
• Support finance strategy projects.

Key Interactions

• Key business partner to DBC Commercial organization, strong working relationship required with all key business leaders - Supply, Marketing, Innovation, and other parts of Finance.
• Act as trusted business advisor to all members of Commercial team, actively supporting the business in improving overall performance.

Experience / skills required: 

• Degree educated with relevant professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/MBA) - not necessarily a qualified accountant.
• 5+ years of experience in a global FMCG or similar multifaceted operating environment and demonstrating commercial competence.
