Reporting & Job Location

You will report to the CTO of Entalpic and will be located in our Paris offices.

Mission Highlights

As the CTO’s trusted partner, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between high-level vision and ground-level execution. Your responsibilities encompass two core missions:

1. Technical Leadership: Architect, develop, and maintain our Agentic Platform, ensuring seamless integration of diverse data sources — including simulation outputs and textual data — to support machine learning and LLM applications.

2. Team Management: Lead and mentor a cross-functional team, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes innovation, efficiency, and continuous learning. Your leadership will be instrumental in translating strategic objectives into actionable plans and delivering scalable solutions.

This role involves (approximately) 1/3 of management & coordination, 2/3 of hands-on individual contribution (IC).

Role & responsibilities

• Agentic Platform Development: Design, develop, and maintain backend systems for agentic interaction with data (simulation results, patents, papers, internal documents, etc.)

• Technical Leadership: Act as the CTO’s right hand in guiding the technical roadmap, making architecture choices, and structuring reusable agentic and LLM-based systems.

• Team Management: Manage and mentor a growing team (LLM researcher, junior engineer, interns), driving process, feedback culture, and cross-function collaboration.

• Tooling & Infrastructure: Oversee backend quality, API design, and data integration pipelines; support cloud deployment strategies with a DevOps-aware mindset.

• Stakeholder Communication: Work cross-functionally with leadership, data science, and domain experts to align technical efforts with Entalpic’s strategic priorities.

Profile

• Experience: 10+ years in the software/AI industry, including leading teams of 4+ people. Strong track record of shipping technical products in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.

• Mindset: Curious, pragmatic, product-oriented & impact-driven. You thrive on autonomy and team play. You like being the glue.

• Technical Depth: Proven experience building robust backend systems in production environments. You’re fluent in Python and at least one other language. You’ve worked on cloud deployments and know how to debug things in production.

• Systems Thinking: You’re comfortable designing architecture from scratch, weighing trade-offs, and enabling the team to explore and select the right tools (e.g., LangChain, RAG stacks, vector DBs).
