At the Business Partner level, this individual will manage cost savings projects, price negotiations, COPQ negotiations, PPAP activity and price escalations. Manage supplier performance, continuous improvement and have mitigation plans for price, quality, and delivery. Be in line of escalation from our materials team.
On a typical day you will:
This individual will be responsible for driving and supporting Business Unit initiatives and metrics for either an Electrical or Mechanical Category with assigned sub-systems and other defined business unit needs. This may include but not be limited to:
· Develop & Implement Business Unit category strategies that achieve the Year / Year savings cost savings initiatives – Schedule A / B along with schedule implementation.
· Collaborate with regional or global supply chain on NAA category strategy for synergies within sub-system and across commodities.
· Supply Chain gate keeper for assigned sub-system in Gate Review to ensure proper actions are taken to drive changes.
· This position will be responsible for updating all applications including but not limited to ETQ, Teams Logs, GeN3 Core, Sch A/B RFQ, on daily basis.
· Responsible for RFQ’s (RFI/RFP as needed), total landed cost analysis, support business case, and ROI.
· Facilitate / drive PPAP activities supporting Business Unit
· Support Business Unit new product introductions, operations improvements (Lean), engineering changes, and work transitions.
· Align/update (JDE) MRP part and supplier data requirements, collaboration with Business Unit.
· Facilitate / participate in cross functional team / IPD meetings
· Lead Supply Chain XRB/FRA activities, as assigned.
· Support applicable weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting and / or Report outs
At the Business Partner level, this individual will manage cost savings projects, price negotiations, COPQ negotiations, PPAP activity, AMT LT and price escalations. Manage supplier performance, continuous improvement and have mitigation plans for price, quality, and delivery. Be in line of escalation from our materials team.
What You Will Need to be Successful:
- 5-10 years in a Supply Chain Management function, procurement, or cost management.
- Knowledge of, or experience with, lean manufacturing systems/processes and ERP/JDE configurations, Concept Configurations, Elog, and drawing database (Windchill)
- Strategic planning/thinking skills coupled with analytical and execution skills.
- Experience with Excel and/or other data manipulation programs.
- Demonstrated ability to drive teamwork between groups and across functional teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate all levels of management required.
- Demonstrated project management, change management, and negotiating capabilities is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business Administrations/Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering
