What will you be doing?
As a Senior Claims Assessor, you will play a critical role in evaluating and processing claims related to Life, Terminal Illness, Critical Illness and Income Protection. Your expertise and judgement will ensure that our customers receive the support they need during challenging times. You will work closely with policyholders, medical professionals, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information, assess claims fairly, and make informed decisions.
- Tasks and duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Evaluate and assess claims in accordance with policy terms and conditions.
- Review medical reports, and other relevant documentation to determine claim validity.
- Communicate effectively with claimants, medical professionals, and internal teams to gather information and provide updates.
- Make fair and timely decisions on claims, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of all claims assessments and communications.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and best practices.
What are we looking for?
- Previous claims assessment experience in at least one benefit type is essential
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and conditions related to all claim types.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
