Special Events Representative - Part Time - MGM Northfield Park

THE JOB: 

The primary responsibility of the Rep Special Events is to assist with all promotions . All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental property policies, practices and procedures.

THE STARTING RATE: $14.33

THE DAY-TO-DAY: 

• Assist the Slot Marketing Department with the execution of promotional events.

• Assist the Casino Special Events Department with the execution of casino-wide events, including Super Bowl, New Year’s Eve, VLT pulls etc.

• Complete special projects as requested by management

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:  

• Knowledge of guest service needs

• Knowledge of appropriate money handling practices and ability to process credit card transactions

• Ability to compute mathematical calculations when balancing revenue sources, i.e., cash, credit card, check, etc.

• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms

• Ability to communicate effectively, concisely and logically in a timely manner and at an appropriate level, while maintaining confidentiality

• Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
• Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
