Beasley Forest Products is seeking a skilled and dependable Night Shift Millwright to support the maintenance and operation of our equipment and production systems in Hazlehurst, Georgia.

Position Summary

The Night Shift Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment throughout the facility. This position plays a key role in minimizing downtime, supporting production efficiency, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and effectively during overnight operations.

Key Responsibilities


Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and production equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor system issues
Install, align, dismantle, and move machinery and equipment as needed
Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or safety concerns
Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and technical specifications
Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders
Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and lockout/tagout procedures
Collaborate with maintenance, production, and management teams to improve equipment performance
Maintain clean and organized work areas

QualificationsQualifications


Previous millwright or industrial maintenance experience required
Experience in sawmills, lumber, forestry, manufacturing, or industrial environments preferred
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, bearings, motors, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Welding and fabrication experience preferred
Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical problems independently
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
Ability to work overnight shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
Technical training or certifications are a plus


Physical Requirements


Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in industrial environments for extended periods
Ability to lift to 50 pounds regularly
Ability to work 12-hour shifts
Comfortable working around heavy machinery, moving equipment, and elevated areas
Ability to work in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions when necessary
Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
