Summary of Job Duties:

The Assistant Professor of Nursing is a 9-month, tenure-track, full-time faculty position. This position requires teaching undergraduate and graduate courses; conducting research leading to high-impact peer-reviewed publications and presentations; supervising students’ scholarly activities such as undergraduate honors research, master’s thesis, and Doctor of Nursing Practice scholarly project; and serving professional organizations, the department, College, and university.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

The position reports to the Executive Director of the Eleanor Mann School of Nursing in the College of Education and Health Professions. Requires an on campus presence.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Earned doctoral degree from an accredited university in nursing or a related field (e.g., DNP, EdD, DrPH) conferred by first date of employment

• Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution of higher education

• Evidence of or promise of success in research/scholarly activity

• Evidence of or promise of effective teaching
