What You Will Do:

• Review and process purchase requisitions for goods/services and ensures compliance with purchasing procedures and requisition requirements. 

• Develop, negotiate and assist in the execution of supplier agreements.

• Obtains optimized pricing and cost-efficient methods to assist in company-wide cost saving measures.

• Maintains records in accordance with established policies and procedures, and audit guidelines/Sox requirements.

• Issues and approves purchase orders per Supply Chain Management, Legal and Delegation of Authorities (DOA) Policies.

• Investigates and facilitates issue resolution relative to procurement activities as requested.

• Acts as a liaison between project managers and/or consultants and suppliers. (prior to issuance of order)

• Mentors, guides and trains department staff or end user department personnel as required.

• Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

• University degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Economics with minimum 2 years of experience within Supply Chain primarily as a material/service buyer.  For those who do not possess a university degree, an additional 3 years of related experience is required.

• Enrollment in a SCM related professional certification, such as PMAC or ISM, is considered an asset.

• Thrives and works well under pressure in fast paced environment due to high volume of requests.

Working Conditions:

• Office environment with occasional travel to suppliers and other Enbridge operations locations within Canada and United States.
