About the role

Associate Managing Director (AMD), Cyber Risk

Kroll is seeking an AMD focused on and leading our OT/ICS Security business. The leader will be a strategic partner to the CIO and/or CISO and be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to clients in securing their operational technology systems. You will assess security risks, design and implement robust security measures, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Your role will be crucial in helping clients protect their industrial systems from evolving cyber threats.

Responsibilities:

Security Assessment

  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments of clients' OT environments, including Industrial Control Systems (ICS), SCADA systems, and other critical infrastructure.
  • Identify vulnerabilities, potential threats, and compliance gaps within OT systems.

Solution Design and Implementation

  • Develop and implement security strategies, policies, and procedures tailored to OT environments.
  • Design and deploy security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access control mechanisms to protect OT systems.

Consultation and Advisory

  • Provide expert advice on OT security best practices, risk management, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Assist clients in developing and executing incident response and disaster recovery plans.

Collaboration and Training

  • Work with internal teams and clients to integrate OT security solutions with IT security practices.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance clients' understanding of OT security and promote a culture of security awareness.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay current with the latest trends, threats, and technologies in OT security.
  • Continuously improve your knowledge and skills through professional development and industry certifications.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Work closely with Cyber leadership to enable the Cyber strategy for growth. 
  • Lead and mentor the cyber OT/ICS Security team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of security professionals.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GICSP) are preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on operational technology and industrial control systems.
  • Deep understanding of OT systems, protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3), and architectures.
  • Experience with security technologies relevant to OT environments.
  • Proficiency in network security, threat analysis, and risk assessment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
