Performs or supervises the performance of activities related to fiscal management, personnel management, procurement, supply services, auxiliary services, etc. Develops and monitors compliance with annual budgets; consults with program personnel regarding the availability of funds and preparation of funding requests. Conducts confidential investigations and complex special assignments; prepares and maintains specialized records and reports. Establishes and provides consultation on administrative policies and procedures. Coordinates personnel activities for the division, department or facility; serves as resource person on personnel policies and procedures.

Job Description

Position Purpose

The Administrative Coordinator reports to the Nurse Manager . Under limited supervision, Administrative Coordinator performs specialized and routine operational and administrative functions to support the department(s) to maintain an efficient and effective operation. 

Requirements (Education, Work Experience, Licensure, Registry &/or Certifications)

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and three years of administrative support experience.  A bachelor's degree may be substituted for two years of the required work experience and is preferred.  Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with ability to create, edit, and prepare packages and route to appropriate individual(s). Must have expertise in MS Outlook - expert level of proficiency required, and must understand meeting and calendar functions.  Project management, organizational, time management and problem solving skills required.  Experience with Adobe and Microsoft Access highly desirable. Ability to compose correspondence and proof assignments to ensure accuracy of documents; excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required; highly detail oriented; ability to exercise good judgment in decision-making. Must be able to see the overall picture of the department/role and anticipate needs/think ahead when completing work. Previous experience in a health care environment preferred; ability to work efficiently and effectively under deadline pressures and to simultaneously handle multiple assignments and projects with speed and accuracy; professional maturity; high degree of honesty, integrity and confidentiality; ability to recall and manage large amounts of information; ability to work with individuals in a tactful diplomatic manner that enhances the image of the office. Typing speed of 45 cwpm required. Administrative Professional Certification Preferred.
