Director, Project Management, Corporate Engineering & Facilities

Role and Responsibilities for Position:

This position is in the Corporate Engineering and Facilities Department located in Foster City, California and reports to the Sr. Director of Project Management.  In this position, you will develop, implement, and oversee a portfolio of capital projects to build and support biopharmaceutical clinical manufacturing and operations. This role is focused on building and managing large, complex ground-up capital projects with emphasis on biologics clinical manufacturing facility.  Duties include forming, leading and interfacing cross-functionally with internal teams, groups, departments and external suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. This position will utilize breadth of experience in engineering, construction, and people leadership to ensure success of projects.   As part of the program/portfolio management team, you will oversee multiple teams consisting of full-time employees, consultants and contractors responsible for executing capital projects.   You will also be accountable for developing and managing direct reports within the corporate engineering project management group.  Build and maintain high performing teams and foster a collaborative environment.  Lead teams by inspiring and motiving team members to accomplish challenging goals and objectives.  The ideal candidate must be passionate about the work, strategically minded, data driven, detail-oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving abilities.
