IT Procurement Manager

Job Description

In this role, you'll be at the epicenter of IT procurement, managing an impressive $150M in spend, and leveraging your expertise in omnichannel strategies. Your core responsibility will be to understand business requirements, identify top-tier vendors, and lead impactful negotiations culminating in successful contract agreements.

What you will be doing:

Sourcing & Vendor Identification:

• Collaborate with business units to ascertain specific needs.
• Research the market to identify industry leaders, evaluate relevant information, and put forth vendor proposals.
• Bridge the gap between sourcing and IT, ensuring comprehensive coverage of IT needs such as SAAS, on-prem licensing, and hardware.

Contract Negotiations:

• Lead commercial and contract negotiations.
• Oversee contracts ranging from $100k to $28M, ensuring BLEND360 achieves the most favorable terms.
• Bring experience to the table regarding professional service deals in the IT sector, such as implementation.

Vendor Relationship & Risk Management:

• Initiate vendor relationships by pinpointing business challenges and providing solutions.
• Collaborate closely with teams to finalize optimal vendors.
• Liaise with the security compliance team to ensure risk management during vendor engagements.

General Process Management:

• Supervise the entire procurement process, currently without direct reports.
• Manage pivotal negotiations, especially those concerning managed service providers.
• Ensure seamless contract processes and address potential pitfalls, particularly with major tech firms.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related fields.
• Proven expertise in IT procurement, with a strong focus on sourcing and negotiations.
• Experience in tech deals, including but not limited to SAAS, on-prem licensing, hardware, and professional services.
• Familiarity with omnichannel strategies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

Nice to have Skills:

• No specific software/platform preference but proficiency in market research tools is beneficial.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

ETC:

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
