POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate
Director of Leadership Giving will play a crucial role in connecting leadership
donors to Project HOPE’s mission in support of Project HOPE’s five-year
strategic plan. They are responsible for engaging high-net-worth individuals,
family foundations, and family offices to secure
critical, unrestricted and restricted gifts. Reporting directly to
Vice President, Leadership & Legacy, this role will steward
and solicit an existing portfolio of current donors and cultivate
prospective donors with the capacity to give $10,000 or more per year. The
Associate Director will connect donors to the Project HOPE mission, its
leadership, and programming through the development and implementation of
comprehensive, personalized strategies, utilizing a variety of channels and
formats, that include regular outreach, individual in-person and virtual
meetings, and exclusive opportunities. The Associate Director will
periodically participate in emergency response fundraising, draft and
develop proposals, and provide reporting and updates to meet donor intent. The
Associate Director will collaborate with and leverage internal
resources to drive long-term engagement throughout the donor’s lifetime and
legacy.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Represent Project HOPE in a highly professional
manner in all interactions with colleagues, donors, and
stakeholders.
Collaborate with the broader development,
communications, marketing, and PR teams as well as senior leadership to
create and deliver high touch and comprehensive strategies to meet revenue
goals. This includes development of KPIs, stewardship activities, and
solicitation plans.
Partner with Global Health teams to design
proposals, impact reports, and facilitate programmatic
insight, technical information, or site visits that honor donor intent and
align with grant agreements.
Utilize, maintain,
and optimize specific processes and resources
to identify and qualify prospects; and design and implement
innovative, multi-channel cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation
strategies.
Consistently utilize Blackbaud NXT and its features
for all donor engagement tracking, opportunities, actions, donor
tiering, moves management, and forecasting, and within
expected timeframes.
Collaborate with internal teams leading with
respect, expertise, influence, industry knowledge, best practice, and
curiosity to help ensure Project HOPE meets today’s evolving fundraising
and giving landscape.
Author & inform donor-facing materials for
stewardship and solicitation efforts.
Adhere to gifts processing and
revenue recognition best practice and SOPs.
Oversee project management efforts on behalf of
the Leadership and Legacy team for the coordination of 1: many stewardship
efforts and appeals.
Produce and inform internal and external
presentations.
Build meaningful relationships with prospective and
current donors through in-person and virtual visits, and extensive
communication by mail, email, phone to build a strong and active portfolio
with a focus on active engagement, appreciation, and recognition.
