Business Strategy Manager

About the Role:

Brightline brings virtual and in-person behavioral and mental health care to families, when and where they need it. We are looking for an exceptional Business Strategy Manager to own and support high-priority strategic questions as Brightline advances the new strategy. In this highly cross-functional role, you will consider and execute against Brightline’s needs as it expands its hybrid business model, grows its care partnerships, and significantly expands the number of members served. 

Your work will directly enable the expansion of our addressable market and topline growth in our business, while also supporting industry-transforming innovation, best-in-class clinical outcomes, and unparalleled experiences for our members.

• Advance leadership priorities and prioritization around where we focus as a business, including market entry, offering strategy, and build/buy/partner discussions where we are considering investments to accelerate growth

• Partner with Growth leadership to evaluate new strategic partnerships that enhance our ability to serve members across a range of needs while managing various partnership pipelines

• Partner with Ops leadership as we invest in building and growing clinics, facilitating both high-level decisions around clinic strategy and economics as well as supporting clinic ops

• Build out our perspective on new sources of revenue across our commercial surface areas, including health systems, health plans, employers, and our growing public sector business

• Be prepared to provide structured thinking and analytical capabilities to our partner teams as we tackle scaling needs that don’t sit neatly within an existing function

• 3-5+ years of work experience, including experience in one or more of the following: consulting, finance, healthcare, and/or high-growth startup environments

• A robust strategic & analytical toolkit that enables you to translate data into structured insights that ultimately inform high-impact decisions

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong independent project management skills, with the ability to drive projects from start to finish in a fast-paced, fluid environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong listening and interpersonal skills

• An extremely collaborative mindset and desire to work cross-functionally

• A desire to roll up your sleeves and build the business one opportunity at a time

• The drive to be part of building something new - to move quickly, to be your best self and to adapt to the constant change and evolution of a start-up environment

• Commitment to fostering a sense of equity, inclusion and belonging across your work

Bonus points for:

• Experience at a digital health and/or mental health company, or demonstrated interest in this space

• Past roles in a high-growth startup environment, especially in product management, strategy, and/or operations functions

• Experience working with health systems and/or brick-and-mortar clinics

Compensation Philosophy:

• At Brightline we have built a total rewards philosophy that includes fair, equitable, competitive, geo-based compensation that is performance and potential based. Our strategy is based on robust market research, including external advisory specializing in national compensation, and thoughtful input from every level of our organization. It is a combination of a cash salary, equity, benefits, wellbeing, and opportunity. In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for applicants is $123,000-$148,000.
