Postdoctoral Scholar

The Tirosh Lab has an exciting postdoctoral position available at Case Western Reserve University to delve into the effect of PDIA6 in adaptation to chronic ER stress. The postdoctoral scholar will work together with additional researchers at different levels to build cellular and animal studies to elucidate the mechanisms as related to the development of diabetes and other metabolic diseases.

 

Case Western Reserve University, Department of Biochemistry is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a postdoctoral scholar position. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewing for an additional year. 

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Develop new cellular models using CRISPR and culture cells of human and mouse sources

2. Isolate primary mouse hepatocytes

3. Generate mouse models and perform genotyping

4. Perform omic analyses of RNA and proteins and perform validations

 

In compliance with the City of Cleveland’s Pay Transparency Ordinance (effective October 27, 2025), the annual starting base salary range for this position is $59,000 - $63,480. CWRU considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer. Qualifications

 

• Doctorate in Biochemistry/Pharmacology

• 2 years of experience with animals and 5 years in protein biochemistry

• Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
