Senior Network Engineer (Wired) in Huntsville, AL (Active TS cleared)

Work you’ll do

• Gather and document stakeholder network requirements.
• Design, install, and maintain network and communication systems.
• Troubleshoot network issues across hardware and protocols.
• Support network architecture design and cost analysis.
• Improve infrastructure processes and deployment efficiency.
• Lead testing, certification, and patching of network components.
• Serve as SME for IT/network design and construction documentation.
• Interpret technical documents and apply industry standards.
• Work with Cisco, Juniper, and software-defined networking.
• Collaborate across teams and present to executives.
• Support Continuity of Operations (COOP) as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in IT and Networking.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• Active Top Secret security clearance required.
• Must be local to the Huntsville, AL area and able to work on client site 5 days a week. 
• Cisco IP Routing: Advanced; Juniper: Advanced; Network Architecture: Advanced; Firewalls, Content Filtering: Advanced
• Prior experience with government network infrastructure projects.
• Skilled in creating and verifying IT/network design and construction documentation.
• Proficient in interpreting industry standards and complex technical documents.
• Experienced with Cisco and Juniper systems, including software-defined networking.
• Strong background in stakeholder requirements gathering and collaboration.

Preferred:

• Previous Consulting experience in Government Public Sector
