As an AIG Coordinator, you will be responsible to lead our Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG) program and support curriculum development at Charter Schools USA. The ideal candidate will be AIG-certified or willing to obtain AIG certification within a designated timeframe and will have a proven track record of high student achievement and sustained academic growth. This role requires expertise in instructional coaching, curriculum support, data-driven decision making, and strategic marketing of academic programs to engage families and the broader school community.

How You Will Impact Education

Instruction/Education Responsibilities

AIG Program Coordination

  • Design, implement, and oversee AIG instructional plans and enrichment opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all local and state AIG regulations and best practices.
  • Assess and identify students eligible for AIG services.
  • Maintain accurate records and track student performance and growth data.

Curriculum Resource Support

  • Collaborate with teachers to plan and implement robust, differentiated instructional strategies.
  • Provide professional development, mentoring, and coaching aligned to school goals.
  • Support teachers in using data to refine instruction and increase student growth.
  • Develop and curate engaging curriculum resources for diverse learners.

Marketing & Community Engagement

  • Promote the AIG program to parents, students, and the community through events, digital communications, and presentations.
  • Partner with school leadership to create outreach materials that highlight program successes.
  • Build strong relationships with families to encourage participation and support student progress.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrates proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Student Information System (SIS) and email communications.
  • Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Strives to implement best practices and positive character education consistently.
  • Demonstrates and articulates a thorough understanding of The Art & Science of Teaching (Robert Marzano).

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • Possession of valid teaching certification in North Carolina
  • Academically or Intellectually Gift
