General Summary of Duties: The Therapist functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating the clinical skill and experience to plan, develop, coordinate, and provide treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to program clients as part of a co-occurring, residential substance use disorder treatment program. The Therapist also provides education, consultation to families, and crisis intervention services to clients assigned to the team. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Major Responsibilities/Tasks:

- Provide direct services in an ASAM Level 3.5 residential, co-occurring treatment program. Services may include individual & family therapy, group therapy, psycho-educational workshops, recovery skill building groups, and crisis intervention. Provide encouragement and positive reinforcement to engage the people we serve who maintain ambivalence related to pursuing a healthy lifestyle.
- Develop written treatment plans with integrated interventions to address issues across the health continuum, with emphasis on substance use disorders.
- Utilize motivational interviewing, stages of change theory, harm reduction, stage-wise treatment strategies and other behavioral interventions as clinically indicated.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the unique presentation and needs of clients experiencing co-occurring disorders.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of medications used in the treatment of SUD (MAT/MOUD).
- Provide crisis intervention services as indicated by assessment and treatment process. Recognize and intervene according to continuous assessment throughout the individual’s stay.
- Document all clinical services thoroughly and accurately and submit all documentation in a timely manner per agency policy and contractual/WAC requirements.
