Job Summary

Ensure business operations for Textiles Group are aligned with and supportive of company’s daily needs and strategic initiatives to ensure the timely and most cost-effective delivery of product and services to both internal and external customers.

Essential Functions

Organizes, plans and guides the activities of the Logistics and Warehouse teams supporting the Textiles business.

Evaluates opportunities to innovate our business and drive operational efficiencies.

Develops team to ensure they have the tools to be successful and remain fully engaged in their roles.

Reviews performance against operating plans and targets and implements corrections where necessary.

Create and lead a client/customer centric performance driven operating culture that strives to exceed goals, objectives and expectations

Provides reports on results and approves changes in direction of plans.

Participates as member of Leadership Team

Ability to think strategically and execute tactically

Presents monthly reports on performance as requested by Senior Management.

Develops and recommends corporate operations policy within the Operations Department.

Defines and recommends objectives over all functions within Operations.

Develops specific short-term and long-term plans and programs, together with supporting budget requests and financial estimates.

Reviews and approves cost control reports, cost estimates, and manpower and facility requirements forecast.

Coordinates and collaborates with other departments of the corporation in establishing and carrying out responsibilities.

Reviews and approves all projects within Operations.

Create and maintain a safe working environment for employees, business partners and visitors.  Adhere to latest safety best practices

Magnitude and relationship reporting

This position reports to the SVP Operations.

Contacts inside and outside the organization

This position has internal contact with all corporate staff members. The primary contacts are Senior Management, Sales Management and Operations Management. Significant external contact with customers and non-textile suppliers.

A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or a related field Highly Preferred., MBA desired.

15+ years of business experience focused in management of operations and/or supply chain
