If you can explain complex technical concepts, coach others, and take pride in developing people, we'll give you the training and support to become a successful instructor.<br/><br/>This is your opportunity to stay connected to your trade while making a lasting impact on those who will keep the Royal Navy operational for years to come.<p></p><p></p><p><b>Job title:</b></p>Electrical Engineer<p></p><p></p><p><b>Job Description:</b></p><div><span>🕒 Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week on a term time only basis</span><br/><span>📍 HMS Sultan, Portsmouth</span><br/><span>🔐 Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.</span></div><div></div><div><b><u>What you’ll be doing</u></b></div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><ul><li><p>Delivering training modules within Electrical Marine Engineering to the Royal Navy</p></li><li><p>Conducting both theory and practical training in Electrical Engineering</p></li><li><p>Ensuring outstanding relationships with the customer and within Marine Engineering Electrical training area.</p></li><li><p>Assisting in maintaining and updating training documentation and assess student course work to provide feedback on performance.</p></li><li><p>Utilising best practice across the establishment to inform and direct quality and improvement activities across RN training.</p></li><li><p>Responsible for the duty of care and progression of training during delivery phase.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>What we’re looking for</u></b></p><p></p><p><b>Essential <span>Skills/Experience/Qualifications</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent</p></li><li><p>Proven experience within <span>Electrical/Engineering</span></p></li><li><p>Be proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace</p></li><li><p>Competent Electrical practical/hand skills</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Desirable <span>Skills/Experience/Qualifications</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Previous instructional experience in a military or civilian engineering environment</p></li><li><p>Level 4 Teaching Qualification / DTC Defence Trainer Course or equivalent.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>About Selborne</b></p><p>Selborne is a bold, £1 billion, 12-year transformation of Royal Navy training, led by Capita and a powerhouse consortium known as Team Fisher — including Raytheon UK, Fujitsu, and the University of Lincoln.
