Your Specific Responsibilities:
- Interviews applicants for the WIC program to determine initial and continuing financial eligibility based on established criteria, as necessary.
- Completes the certification process for WIC clients by issuing WIC EBT, VOC cards with appointments, having the clients complete the back of the form, conducting immunizations surveillance, providing instructions for use of the WIC EBT and records. Issues WIC Benefits to WIC clients for routine pickups and schedules appointments for the next contact.
- Serves as Vendor Manager representing WIC on any vendor-related problem or issue, prepares vendor in-services for same. Serves as vendor-client liaison during investigations regarding vendor management related situations, reports to the WIC Supervisor regarding status and disposition of same. Conducts vendor training and surveillance at chain and independent stores and prepares reports on conditions of each store. Reviews the monthly Vendor Error Report to identify redemptions errors and places food locks on the identified clients' computer records.
- Provides low risk second nutrition education contact to WIC Clients.
- Responsible for VOC card issuance and maintenance of inventory utilizing a manual log and the computer.
- Responsible for maintaining inventory of purchased special formula.
- Responsible for disposition of Duplicate Client Report and other FL-Wise report
- Functions as back up for various other WIC positions including determination of WIC financial eligibility, processing of T-30's report, which require monthly attention, voter registration for certification.
- Participates in quality improvement activities. Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-services, and staff development activities. Responsible for WIC outreach activities.
- Investigates cases of potential fraud or program violations. Research may require the incumbent to access Facebook, Craigslist, or other social media websites to identify, track and document potential WIC fraud and abuse. Collects evidence and recommends corrective actions or penalties as appropriate. Serves as an expert witness in trials or hearings.
- Prepares and submits weekly EAR reports, biweekly timesheets, and travel reimbursement, according to established format & procedures. Prepares special reports and performs assignments and/or other related duties as required by the WIC Director.

Qualifications:
Minimum -
Able to work before, during and or/beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency
A High School Diploma or its equivalent can be substitute for one year of the required work experience
Valid Florida Driver’s License
