Northrop Grumman is seeking Embedded Software Engineers. This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Buffalo, NY
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Targeting & Survivability (T&S) Division.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to, and integrated with, engineering, scientific and manufacturing requirements
- Generate processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and products such as laboratory simulation systems, aircraft flight control and display systems
This position may be filled as an Associate Embedded Software Engineer or an Embedded Software Engineer based on the qualifications listed below.
Basic Qualifications for an Associate Embedded Software Engineer:
- Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Be majoring in or having majored in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or closely related STEM Degree.
- Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
- The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
- It will be helpful, though not required, for your course work to have included:
- Development Languages such as C/C++, Python, Ada, and or
- Primary Operating Systems such as Linux, Windows, VxWorks,
- Agile Development using Jira and GitHu
