Job Description
Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Culinary Construction Project Manager to lead the design and build of high-end food service spaces for a major tech client. This includes full-service kitchens, pantries, micro kitchens, and cafés, ranging from large-scale operations to boutique hospitality-style environments.
You’ll serve as the main point of coordination across all phases of design and construction, ensuring alignment with the client’s culinary goals, design standards, and operational needs. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of construction, hospitality, and innovation.
This role requires onsite presence three days per week at the client offies in the South Bay, and offers the chance to shape culinary spaces that elevate the workplace experience at a globally recognized tech company.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end management of culinary construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, design coordination, and construction oversight.
- Oversee the development and execution of high-end food service spaces, ensuring quality, functionality, and brand alignment.
- Collaborate with culinary end users including Space Planning, Workplace Design, and Facilities/Construction PMs.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design intent and culinary program requirements are met.
- Conduct design reviews and manage QA/QC processes to maintain high standards across all project phases.
- Track and communicate project priorities, risks, and progress to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain Culinary Program Guidelines, Design Standards, and Best Practices documentation.
- Support long-term strategic planning while delivering on near-term project milestones.
- Influence and mentor team members, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of project management experience, with a strong focus on culinary, food service, or hospitality construction.
- Proven experience managing capital improvement projects for corporate real estate teams, ideally in the Bay Area.
- Background working with general contractors, architectural or engineering firms.
- Experience delivering high-end, client-facing food service environments.
- Familiarity with tech company workplace standards and culture is a plus.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Additional Information
The salary range for this full-time role is $150K-$170K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s location, experience, and qualifications.
