Senior Project Manager, Product Innovation

JOB SUMMARY:
The Product Innovation Senior Project Manager is responsible for coordinating, establishing, and executing projects for current and new Product Innovations (PI) within the Novocure Oncology organization. As a key member of the team, the Project Manager works closely with program leadership and cross-functional project teams demonstrating exceptional project management skills and a deep understanding of the intricacies of the Novocure Oncology product launch process. In addition to supporting the overall project management infrastructure (metrics, reporting, administration, business reviews, etc.), this role will participate in implementing best practice tools and techniques in project management, with a focus on medical device software, consumables and digital.
The Project Manager must be a highly motivated individual who possesses a strong ability to prioritize multiple deliverables with keen attention to detail. This role will work with independence and initiative, requiring minimal oversight in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
This is a full time, remote role reporting to the Director, Product Innovation. Ideal candidates will be in Eastern Standard Timezone.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for existing and new product innovations and ongoing lifecycle management of products and processes ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines
- Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management, product development, commercial, and functional management.
- Collaborates with the product development team to provide input into company’s products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products and processes. Creates, reviews, manages, and reports on project elements including schedule, budget, resourcing and risks.
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of the overall project management infrastructure, including metrics, reporting, administration, and business reviews
- Collaborates on the project from the point of product development initiation through execution of launch
- Develops roadmap for timing for launch planning of new innovations
- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, functional managers, and customers and stakeholders.
- Gathers requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of project’s key stakeholders.
- Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems.
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor’s degree in a global scientific discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- Advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (i.e., PMP, Six Sigma) preferred
- Minimum of 5 years project management experience with at least 2 years in a medical device, pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment required
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Project Manager, Smartsheet, or similar project management software to build robust integrated project timelines.
- Proficiency in the following: Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, EndNote, database search knowledge)
- Creative thinker with strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Effective and flexible to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment and within cross-functional teams
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize among multiple work streams
- Ability to work independently
- Aptitude for broad stakeholder engagement, partnership, and influence in a matrix environment and across various departments, team members, and geographical locations
- Driving team member accountability for successful program execution
- Technical skills adequate to understand risk and scale program mitigations appropriately
- Ability to provide clarity and organize solutions when facing ambiguous problems or challenges
- Oncology and product development experience preferred
